PLEASE NOTE:  In an effort to support our community, I am offering sessions both in person and by video.

Rates and Insurance

Rates
Counseling appointments are generally 50 minutes in length.  My fee per session is $150.  After the initial intake appointment, phone consultations lasting longer than five (5) minutes in length will be billed, pro rated, at the same rate as office visits.  Note that if we are meeting under your Employee Assistance Program (EAP), my fee is paid by the EAP for the approved number of visits.

Insurance
I am a preferred provider for:
Aetna
Cigna
First Choice
Kaiser Permanente Access PPO, Options PPO, Omni PPO
Multiplan
Premera/Lifewise
Regence
Tricare
United Behavioral Health
United Behavioral Health Washington Healthy Options
United Healthcare Community Plan

For other insurances, I will be considered an out of network provider, meaning that the insurance may cover a portion of my rate (depending on your particular plan benefits) and you will be responsible for the remainder.  You will need to contact your insurance provider and inquire about the extent of your coverage for counseling services.  I will file a claim with your insurance company directly.

Payment

At the time of our appointment, you are responsible for paying any amount that your insurance does not cover.  A credit card number will be kept on file and will be charged for missed sessions and/or outstanding balances. Bills that remain unpaid for more than 30 days from their due date incur a one percent (1%) late fee per month that they are delinquent. Cash, check and credit card are accepted for payment.  Credit card payments may incur an additional service fee.

Good Faith Estimate - Standard Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
  • You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
  • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
